Project Aims to Restore Zuma/Westward Beach Habitats

They are waging a war.  A war against invasive, inexorable ice plant that is indigenous to South Africa, and other non-native species that have overtaken dune habitats on Zuma Beach and Westward Beach. The Malibu Living Shoreline Project, spearheaded by The Bay Foundation, aims to restore approximately three acres of sandy beach and dune habitat at two Malibu sites.
